Kanu Nwankwo condemns super eagles
Kanu Nwankwo has condemned the current crop of Super Eagles players, saying that the team are "Not yet super".
The Eagles have largely failed to impress anyone since winning the 2013 AFCON trophy in South Africa.
The failure of the eagles to qualify for the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea shows a all-time-low for the team but Kanu is however hopeful that slowly but surely, the Eagles will reclaim their position as a formidable force in world football.
Kanu while in Nelspruit to see Nigeria's recent friendly with South Africa spoke with Supersport saying "There is a rebuilding process currently underway and I am a big part of it. Things must be put right for the Eagles to hit the heights again.
"During my days as a footballer, the whole world took notice of Nigeria as a very strong footballing country. We must return our national team to those days."
Kanu in his 12-year career had 87 international caps for Nigeria between 1994 and 2011.
