Nigeria's newly elected President in waiting Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Kenyan government over last week's terrorist attacks on Garissa University where 148 people were gruesomely killed.
Buhari extended his empathy to the families of those who lost loved ones in the attack in a message he personally signed on today. Read excerpt of the message below:
"There are those among us who will always find an excuse - religion, tribe, and others - to take innocent lives. These terrorists are a scourge all across Africa and the world, and we must confront them together, using all the tools at our disposal.
"I want to assure the Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, and all Kenyans of Nigeria's support and prayers now and in the future."
