Labour Party House Of Assembly Candidate Killed In Imo
Sadly Andrew Ugwuezumba, who is supposed to be the House of Assembly candidate of Labour Party in Ngor Okpala constituency of Imo State, has been assassinated by unknown gun men.
Ugwuezumba, 40, who hails from Umunehi village, Obiangwu Autonomous Community, was shot dead about 08:00pm Tuesday along the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport road.
According to a source, Andrew was murdered while on his way home after a campaign rally at Umuowa community in Ngor Okpala.
The assailants trailed Andrew in an unmarked vehicle from the venue of the rally, shot him at a junction and abandoned his corpse there.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Imo State, Barrister Ngozi Olehi, has reacted to the news saying the death of the candidate was a shock to him.
He condemned the killing and described it as unfortunate.
