The ruling PDP in Ondo State may soon run down as the former Governorship candidate of the party, Chief Olusola Oke and other important leaders plan to announce their defection to the APC on Tuesday.
Since Governor Olusegun Mimiko defected to the PDP from the Labour Party, PDP has been in chaos, which obviously affected its performance in last weekend's Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Even with pleas from President Jonathan that Oke and Mimiko should bond together, both of them ran parallel rallies for Jonathan's re-election.
Oke's faction is not happy with Mimiko's overbearing imposition of candidates on them the moment he decamped to the party.
Sources have it that Oke and other imminent leaders have concluded plans with National Leaders of APC on their defections.
According to one of the members of Oke faction, "There is going to be major crack in PDP, it is not because these people want to leave their party but due to the way Mimiko treated them when he defected.
"What are you expecting from a party that failed to protect your interest? You will not be sincere to work for such party's victory. I know by now President Goodluck Jonathan must have learnt his lesson and also regretting that he imposed Mimiko on us."
