After unsuccessful attempts at getting his accreditation done by the card reader during the Presidential Election held on March 28, the President has this time around succeeded in getting it right.
President Goodluck Jonathan who landed in Otuoke, Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state, has since been accredited to vote in the State House of Assembly election.
According to Reuben Abati, the Spokesman and Special Adviser to the President on Media, the Jonathan’s accreditation exercise went pretty well in Bayelsa state.
Writing on his official Twitter account, Abati said: “President Jonathan in Otuoke for State House of Assembly elections. Accreditation went smoothly. Card reader worked.”
Earlier, the social media was awash with condemnation that the number one citizen of Nigeria had chosen to stay in Lagos for the election when he should be in Bayelsa voting.
