Tanker Crushes Two Persons To Death In Kwara
The rate at which tanker drivers are killing innocent Nigerians is becoming quite alarming. Just a few hours ago, two persons lost their lives in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, when a water tanker crashed into a taxi around NNPC Mega Station at Asa-Dam area of the State.
The taxi driver and a passenger identified as Alhaji Saka, sitting in front, died in the crash while 3 other passengers who sat at the rear sustained injury.
The injured passengers are Alhaji Lamidi, Mrs. Abimbola Jimoh and her son, Oloruntoyin.
The accident victims were said to be on their way home from a funeral prayer of one Alhaji Atunde in the area.
An eyewitness said, the tanker driver was coming from an adjoining road that linked the highway and then he his brake failed him. Before they knew it, the tanker crashed into the cab.
The tanker driver - in their usual style - fled for fear of being lynched. The accident victims were however taken to Garin Alimi Hospital while the police have evacuated the tanker.
